None of the game trailers have shown that the PC was going to get a completely different game, a case of false advertising. However, the praise was for the home console versions, the PC version was negatively received. Upon release, the game received positive reviews and is considered one of the best Activision-published Spider-Man games ever by fans. Spider-Man 2 was published by Activision for many different systems in 2004. They are follow-ups of the game Spider-Man, and the series is followed by Spider-Man 3. Spider-Man 2 is an action-adventure video game loosely based on the film of the same name. Spider-Man 2 Activity Center (by release date) 
Don't think this game on the PC is the Spider-Man 2 game that was on consoles.
